Look At Life Through The Windshield Not Through The Rearview Mirror- April 2021

Hello Everyone,

See attached for the April 2021 Creative Newsletter- Look At Life Through The Windshield Not Through The Rearview Mirror.

I grew up surrounded by my father's passion & deep interest in Formula1 racing & when I was younger I used to attend the races with my parents.

This morning I joined my father for a Porsche Club of America ride.

It was a beautiful drive. The 20+ cars began in Camarillo then we drove to the Pacific Coast Highway 1, onward to Mulholland Drive and down through one of my favorite roads in Ventura County, Potrero Road. Our route ended at a personal private automobile collection with so many interesting & unique vehicles.

A few vehicles caught my eye today:

The whimsy vintage Fiat Jolly was so playful & quite stylish. My father said they were used in resort towns for people to hop from resort to resort. This Fiat Jolly had the original wicker seating and all! A unique local cruiser...it would be a fun way to commute around Ojai during the summertime!

I really liked the small unique European cars & a couple of the vintage Subarus.

When we came home, we switched cars & headed to breakfast with my mother at our favorite breakfast place: WayPoint Cafe in Camarillo. It's my favorite breakfast spot in Ventura County. The planes can park right outside. Everyone can watch the planes land & take-off & land. Today, a team of US Army personnel arrived on 3 helicopters- (So Much Gratitude To Those Men and Women Who Serve Our Country.) WavePoint Cafe is a local treasure & I took a photo of their traditional sugar plane design sprinkled on the pancakes. It's a good detail.

I hope everyone has a relaxing Saturday evening!
